Long Ravine Road Closed Due to Excessive Rainfall

Ratepayers are advised that Long Ravine Road, the north-south road connecting Pioneer Road to Highway 247 (Round Lake and Bird’s Point), is closed due to slope instability caused by excessive rainfall.

The RM engaged a qualified road builder to assess the road’s condition, and the assessment confirmed the Municipality’s conclusion.

The closure is necessary to protect public safety and prevent further damage to the roadway. Concrete barrier blocks have been placed across the north and south access points.  Ratepayers and motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes until further notice.  

Long Ravine Road will remain closed until a repair strategy has been evaluated and implemented. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
