Public notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Zoning Bylaw No. 2024-04, the Rural Municipality has received a discretionary permit application for a proposed tourist attraction use involving short-term, AirBnB-style bookings in the Organized Hamlet of Pelican Shores, which is part of the Lake Shore District.
The proposed locations are:
- Lot 9-Blk/Par 1 Plan 85R36259 Ext. 0, Surface Parcel 110537872 (cabin)
- Lot 10-Blk/Par 1 Plan 85R36259 Ext. 0, Surface Parcel 110537872 (where a temporary RV can be located).
The application proposes to allow short-term visitor accommodation associated with a tourist attraction use on the identified lots in the Organized Hamlet of Pelican Shores, and Council will consider public input before making a decision.
The application will be considered at a public hearing to be held on Tuesday, September 8, at 8:00 a.m. at the Rural Municipality office, 301 Ohlen Street, Stockholm, SK.
Anyone wishing to comment on the application may attend the public hearing or submit written comments to the Rural Municipality before the hearing. Written submissions must include the writer’s name, civic address, mailing address, and contact information. Mailed submissions must be received by Friday, September 4, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. Emailed submissions may be received until Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 7:30 a.m. Submissions may be emailed to rm183@sasktel.net or mailed to Box 190, Stockholm, SK S0A 3Y0.
Additional information regarding the application may be obtained by contacting the Rural Municipality office during regular business hours at 306-793-2061. Regular office hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm.
